Hey.

I'm in Iowa. Pretty exhausted so far because we've been going full speed the whole time. Jeremiah and I left Friday night around eight and when we got to the middle of nowhere Nebraska at 4am, I hit a deer going 90mph. Needless to say, I freaked the F out. I screamed bloody murder, swerved a bit, OMG'd profusely, thought I'd hit a person/car/cow, finally pulled over, couldn't stop shaking, thought the car was going to explode, the whole shebang... although, I didn't cry, which was surprising. My front lights are broken, there's a wicked dent, and my passenger door doesn't open, but the engine is fine. Jeremiah and I waited til daylight and continued driving to Iowa so the trip took 15 hours instead of 11.

This next paragraph is unnecessary for reading as it's just a list of things I've been doing for my own recollection.

We went to my bro's commencement ceremony for high school on Saturday. Saw a lot of relatives on my mom's side. Went to pizza with Mike and Addy, they went fishing in the morning, I slept in, read magazines, great breakfast, went to Eric's grad party with Mom and Dad. Took nap, ate my mom's waffles, went downtown, met up with Lara and Jim at TCB's. Played darts, went to the Mill to meet up with Meredith and sister Kate, boyfriend Adam. Chatted. Went back to Maher's, went back to Dad's. Woke up, grad party preparation, hungover, grad party 3-7, climbed backyard ladder to show Jeremiah my elementary and high schools, allergies. Watched guitar movie, last night of three siblings together.

That's it so far. One scary thing that just happened was Addy left and somehow ended up in the ditch sideways. We are so lucky she and her truck are okay.

I'm really tired and going to bed, this post is crap but I'll update with something more relavent when I get some sweet sweet TIME.

Moving out, Moving in...

I've been hella crazy busy lately. Between working at the bank, spaying the heifers, getting Jeremiah moved out, helping with the new house, and sunbathing of course, my days have been packed. OH, and preparing to go to Iowa in 5 days!!! EEEEE!!!! I miss Eva. Last night I was at the Mercury Cafe for some benefit concert with APTR, Sun Red and the Kissing Party playing some sweet tunes. Didn't feel quite right without Eva though. Ugh.

Anyway, some exciting developments on the house: The hardwood is done on the first floor!!! The chimney stuff is done. The electric should be done in a couple weeks. Jeremiah will be moved in before we head to Iowa. We went through all his clothes this morning and threw a TON of stuff away which felt great. Spring cleaning is the best--especially when it's not your stuff!! I love reasoning with J, being like "That is HORRENDOUS!! Throw away pile immediately!" That doesn't really sound like reasoning, does it?? But he's been really great about being realistic, throwing away stuff that doesn't fit or is totally fugly. Anyway, I must go. Laundry is calling my name...

Spaying heifers...

Tomorrow's going to be a long day of spaying 160 heifers at the ranch. Heifers are cows. I don't know what my job will be yet but I've been told I'll be covered in cow shit no matter what!! Man, I can't wait! I suppose I shouldn't say that until I get in the thick of things but I think it'll be fun. I'll let you know how I feel about the process when we are done spaying on Thursday. This week will be a busy one; working on the ranch and helping Jeremiah moved into the new house. He's been living at our current apartment for four years so the amount of Stuff accumulated is outrageous.

Today was nice because Jeremiah and Marky-Mark finished the hardwood and set up the cabinets in the kitchen which look totally fabulous. After that J and I went to Habitat for Humanity and found the most fantastic light fixtures for the kitchen and dining room. I'm so very excited to move into our own place. We just need to finish the electric, the hardwood, heating, plumbing, countertops, paint, and a lot of other stuff. But! as long as progress is made and I can move in by September I'll be happy. More updates soon.

WEDDINGS!

Hi! I happen to love weddings which is perfect because Jeremiah and I have at least seven to go to this year. I pretty much root for everyone in my life to get married so I can cry and dance and go crazy at their weddings!! Wonderful. Anyway, before I went to Kentucky for the Derby, J and I traveled to Ohio for a wedding and then went to another the following weekend. Here are some pictures. If only I could upload the videos... Also, I apologize in advance for the obscene amount of Jeremiah/Sonja pictures.

Dan and I in OHIO!
At the rehearsal dinner.
Dan and Chris.
This is Cincinnati in the background. We were eating at one of those places where the restaurant spins around so everyone can get a full view. Delight.
It actually made everyone a bit dizzy. But the food was great.
We decorated Katie and Gene's room for the big night.
Cake.
Jeremiah was the best man and I was a bridesmaid.
Aw.
Frands!
The dance floor was pretty hoppin. I had A LOT of fun at this wedding.

I've missed you.

I've missed blogging. Although public, it's a diary of sorts and I've been going a bit crazy without the release... Plus, there's been a lot of cool stuff goin on that NEEDS sharing! Firstly, here's what happened when Jeremiah stepped on my computer! Haha, it's not actually a huge deal considering I spent $200 on the thing... BUT it has been a demotivator for blaggin.

The ink spotching keeps changing along the crack... weird. Before I tell ya'll about the Kentucky Derby, Eva leaving S'merica and this weekend at the ranch, here are some pictures from when my mom and Westy last visited Denver. I'm headed back to Iowa for Westy's graduation from high school in a couple weeks and I really can't wait! What a big event! Jeremiah is tagging along and will meet my dad for the first time since we've been a couple so that should be fun--I hope he's nervous!!! I'll also get a chance to do some Iowa climbing with the brohams and see Mike's girlfriend Addy. Oh, and some IOWA FRIENDS!!!!!!

Westy did some climbing comps while here--one in Boulder and one in the Springs.
Sick bouldering skillz. Mom does this at every comp. Westy likes grapefruit and peanut butter sandwiches for strength and solidarity. This is my favorite gym I've been to. Really wished I'd climbed in this comp. Scoping out the route. On the route. I think the scoring was the top five routes and top five boulder problems. Lead climbing is different than top rope and garners a better score because the climber is essentially "free" climbing with no protection until he gets to the first bolt and each bolt after. I think Westy is clipping the second bolt in this pic. Sweet success. Getting the score. Completion of the route on lead. Some bouldering fun. Man this gym was amazing. The next day at a different gym. I participated in this one. This gym was really weird because instead of mats on the ground there was a bunch of rocks.... rocks don't feel good to fall on. Wunder!! This day was really fun for me because I got to show Westy and Mom my favorite place. This is from one of Jeremiah's shows with Sun Red. He plays 6 instruments in this band. Mustache. This is the haircut he gave himself a while ago... Needless to say, he's banned from giving himself any future haircuts!
