BLURRR
So, the past three days have been an absolute blurr. If I was as productive every day as I have been, I could save nations, climb the highest mountains and do some great things! But alas, I am still just a silly nomad--sitting around, reading books and cat-napping the days away. Maybe someday, right?
Wednesday, I woke up at 6:45am to go to the Des Moines capitol building to observe and document the Governor's Environmental Excellence Awards. The capitol building is absolutely beautiful inside--paintings and displays all around and giant bulbous light fixtures hanging from seemingly everywhere. The attention to detail is incredible, with every lightbulb adorned with different stencil designs. I was obviously impressed. The award ceremony was less impressive, amounting to a bunch of suits (including our gov'na!) pretending to care about environmental activism in a sardine-packed room the size of my bedroom. Oh well. Very interesting, none the less.

After getting back from Des Moines, I wrote a nice lil report, studied like mad, and then went to my management final. Immediately after, I met up with my mom to move all the stuff outta my current apt. Climbing was definitely in order after that, so I hung out with Westy at the gym doing "silent feet" laps until I could no longer stand.
Thursday, was nice because I got to sleep in a bit. I woke up, ate some grub, and then had a three hour envisci final that was surprisingly fun. In one section we had to write a childrens story that incorporated eight functions of ecosystems. My story was totally wack--a combination of Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, and Little Red Riding Hood--with random animals and ecosystem principles scattered about. It was much more fun than looking at a scantron for three hrs. After the final, I began the most epic homework session of my life, proving I'm either the best or worst student ever. Between thursday night and this morning I wrote 26 pages of reports. Absolutely ridiculous. I should get an Environmental Excellence Award for Procrastination. Or something like that....
In addition to busting balls to complete homework, I had to help get our apartment prepared for an 11am inspection this mornin. Everyone was quite frantic with no time to be sad about moving out of the best apt evaaahhh. Thank gahd the parents were there to save me, insisting that I study in between random apt tasks. They pretty much deserve all the credit for getting me the hell outta there on time.

Goodbye sweet closet....
Last g'bye.
It feels good to be done.
Next steps--say goodbye, move, find a job.
