Emotional...

Today was a really emotional day at the ranch. In the morning, there was a memorial service for Jeremiah's grandparents, Dan and Janette in a really beautiful cemetery behind the old church. There were a ton of people there. I met so many neighbors and Joneses it was hard to keep track. I took this picture a while back. The view on the gravestone is the exact view of Pikes Peak directly South of the ranch.Riding through the pastures towards Pikes is one of my favorites. The land is so vast and breathtaking.Later in the day, the family was forced to put Jennifer down due to a severe leg infection. At 27, Jennifer was the oldest horse Jeff and Debbie had. She grew up with all the Jones kids and was the first horse I rode as well as Eli and Cailyn's first horse. She looked so beautiful today with her winter fur shed, shining in the sun; running around the pen, neighing and wondering why she was alone. She was fine and at peace though as soon as Jeremiah harnessed and let her out. These pictures are from the day Jeremiah got kicked by Samantha.
